Diddy Gave Black Women a Shout Out And White Folks Are BIG MAD
While I am not one to give black men a standing ovation for singing our praises (blame Jessie Williams), a likkle shout out every once in a while never hurt nobody. Unless, of course, you are white and fragile AF.
Yes, folks, Diddy gave we black women a basic, but nice enough shout out today on social media, and it has caused a firestorm of hurt feelings.
It began with this:
Wrong. Some folks, particularly those who have a natural aversion to seeing themselves excluded from black spaces, took issue with the message.
Here are some of the complaints:
Y’all, I can’t:
I legit don’t get it. This would be like getting mad at Asian people for celebrating Chinese New Year. Let folks celebrate their own. It’s not about you! Diddy needs to hit these folks with the response Kev On Stage gave the dude who tried to shame him for celebrating black women. Watch his video response HERE.
I’m gonna need for a fine ass white male celebrity to give white women a shout out. A fine ass Latino to give Latinas a shout out. A fine ass Asian male to give Asian women a shout out. A fine ass Native American man to give Native American women (Ann Coulter that is not you) a shout out. This way all can be happy finally. I need for black folk to not act a fool when this happens and just let them have a moment so they can shut the duck up when have our moments.
Other races do not understand what black women endures in this world….nlack women work harder in everything….opportunites don’t lend in our spaces…ither races are given more salary ….yiu report into them even when you have higher qualifications than them…see when diddy gave a shout out that must have been after he realised we are sidelined always but we have strength beyond our understanding…..black women are filled with unconditional love always .??????⚘⚘⚘
First of all, I wanna say thank u #Diddy for showing love to us beautiful women. I feel we don’t get enough recognition from our men publicly and I’m proud to be a #QuuenBlackWoman. So many other women are mad and outraged, for what? This isn’t about a racial divide or hate for others, it’s a genuine love for the women of his own culture. People in general need to get over it and stop making every single thing about #race. Just because #Diddy showed love to us doesn’t mean he doesn’t care about other women. #stopbeingbutthurt.
When Black Women are labeled the bottome of the barrel no one gets angry. I had a white friend in school her and I were cool. I remebrr this guy complimented me and she got pissed off. They don’t like when known black women are acknowledge. As long as we are seen as obese baby mamas, jezebels anf ghetto its fine.
