Here’s What Happened When The Notorious BIG’s Mama Found Out About Kendall And Kylie Jenner Trying to Profit Off Of Her Son
The Kardashian/Jenners strike again. Amidst continued accusations of stealing clothing designs from African American designers, they don’t seem to know when to quit. However their recent attempts to hijack Black culture for profit was shut down by none of than Ms. Voletta Wallace.
Yesterday social media was in a tizzy over the release of Kendall and Kylie’s vintage tees. They featured images of Biggie and Tupac as background to more prominent images of themselves and initials.
The notoriety of the shirts made their way to the mother of Notorious BIG, Voletta Wallace. Violetta was quick to denounce the t-shirts and call further attention to what appears to be an ongoing problem.
“I am not sure who told @kyliejenner and @kendalljenner that they had the right to do this. The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me. I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my Son Christopher to sell a t-shirt. This is disrespectful , disgusting, and exploitation at its worst!!!”
Voletta definitely had them shook as the T-shirts have now been removed from the Kendall + Kylie website. While the Kardashians have been praised as great “businesswomen”, it appears that they continue to take short cuts. Hopefully this will encourage to take a step back and reevaluate their business practices. Everyone knows about licensing, there’s no excuse. Plus Kendall knew after that Pepsi commercial “All Eyes” would literally be on her.
Update: Both Jenners have issued (the same) apology on their Twitter pages.
Well there you have it.
How you do feel about the Kardashian/Jenners being caught out there yet again? Also, how do you feel about Voletta’s swift action to preserve her son’s image?
This is the -ish we talk about when we have negative things to say about the Kardashian clan. Now most of the stuff they did before I chalked up to something their simple selves would have done even without being known to the public. These T-Shirts were deliberate and they knew the controversy that would come with them. They also knew there would be a load of clueless millennials and post-millennials who would buy them because they think being disrespectful — their half ass excuse of being ironic — is cute.
If someone did that to them or any member of their family alive or deceased, they wouldn’t care. Publicity at all costs is their modus operandi. There is no such thing as bad press because it all brings in money and keeps them relevant. They were not being naive. They are not dumb women. This was deliberate, calculated, and they knew the risks.
Kylie is also going to use this to gauge if she can truly get away with anything since she did this so close to that pretty eyeshadow palette coming out. Whose packaging looks to be a cross between Lorac’s and Urban Decay’s (especially the brush). But you didn’t hear that from me…
Kendal could possibly feel some hurt from that though. Estee Lauder might not renew her contract if she ends up in to many controversial/compromising situations. You can’t expect to be aligned with prestigious brands that have a prestigious reputation and act like someone who is clueless and uncouth. Not to say that these brands are woke, but they know there are lines not to cross if they want to protect their image. She is showing herself to be problematic.
That is the most bulshit as apology I ever seen in my life you got caught with your hand in the cookie jar. There’s no such thing as licensing when it comes to an estate you idiots you can’t use a replicator lightness of a person who has a estates . That’s copyright infringement you jackasses she need to come after you for the bulk of the money cuz it’s all you were looking at. You’re not good business women your unethical business women
Love it! we must protect our culture and make them no we as people are not for sale <3
They got caught, not sorry, just caught. Slimy heifers
They couldn’t even get someone to proofread their lame joint apology. (A shame in itself) They had to misuse “anyway.” It should be “any way.”
