“Black Men, It was ‘Heauxs’ That Mothered Y’all Asses”: Janelle Monae Shares JL Anastasia’s Message To Men Who Call Women “Hoes”

Aside from being my birthday month (Pisces season, what what), March is also Women’s History month, and an important time to be reminded of how much patriarchy affects almost everything in our society.
In a post on her Instagram account last night, singer, Janelle Monae, re-posted a post originally shared by Transgender Activist, Anastasia JL. You can access her facebook profile HERE. a not-so subtle reminder to men who might see fit to refer to a woman as a “heaux.”
And while the original post was targeted at black men, Janelle Monae made sure to include everybody.
….This also applies to the word “bitch”, “slut”, etc AND is not limited to just black men. #NeverForget#WomensHistoryMonth repost and share

Hey great article but can you please make sure credit is given to JL Anastasia. She’s an activist who originally posted this and Janelle Monae Reposted. Thank you.
Just updated it. Thanks for letting me know
JL is an online bully. She’s threatened my friends, whom are black women, and gotten an ally of black women, Siete Saudades, banned on FB. If you don’t agree with everything she says, she sends her hounds on you to drag you on social media. She’s no activist. She abuses her platform and tries to dictate to BLACK WOMEN what they can call themselves, their reproductive organs and processes and whether or not they’re transphobic, even when they’re asking questions to LEARN and be inclusive. Please don’t give her more exposure as if she’s a paragon of righteousness. She doesn’t care for black women unless they further her cause or victimhood.
I gave Janelle Monae props for sharing some words that I found to be powerful especially for women’s history month. I didn’t even know who JL Anastasia was, and but i shared the pic Jm Shared. In the original version of the story, JL wasn’t credited…a few hours after it went live JL’s fans/followers started flooding my email talkIng bout how I’m trying to erase trans people..meanwhile i didn’t even know who trans people where, and since JL did share the original post,I credited the source. Now I am going to do some digging to learn more about her, because this is news to me.
Asan Fossett aka Siete Saudades is no ally of women, Black or otherwise. He’s a cult-leader, an abuser, a predator, and a grifter. His initiations have been rebuked as fraudulent by The Queen Mother. Many of us have been screaming about his machinations and manipulations for years and years. Y’all believed him, not his victims. Which makes you complicit.
I shouldn’t even respond to this commenT…normally anyone who tries to come for on my own site gets their comment in the trash. You do realize that I’m the owner of this site and I moderate comments? This isn’t a public forum. Anyhoo, to be clear, I gave Janelle Monae props for sharing some words that I found to be powerful especially for women’s history month. I didn’t even know who JL Anastasia was, and but i shared the pic JM Shared. In the original version of the story, JL wasn’t credited…a few hours after it went live JL’s fans/followers started flooding my email talkIng bout how I’m trying to erase trans people..meanwhile i didn’t even know JL was trans, but since JL did share the original post,I credited the source. Now I am going to do some digging to learn more about her, because this is news to me. Clearly JL isn’t as well-known as you think.
Next time i’ll leave comments like yours in the trash where they belong. Get the fuck off my site, and go fight JL since you’re big mad at her. You don’t know me, Noelle.
