New Year New Me: Shopping at JC PENNEY Sephora

*This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of JCPenney. The opinions and text are all mine.

Let’s face it, I’ve gone from being a  makeup enthusiast to a makeup hoarder. I can’t help myself. Every time a new beauty brand launches a new product, I’m right there ready to buy it. What’s worse is that I also run a makeup group on facebook, and the ladies there totally enable my habit. Lately the girls have been raving about a few products, so I went on over to my local JC Penney to score some new workout gear and  to scope the latest beauty finds at Sephora.

Yes, you read that correctly, you can shop Sephora at JC Penney! I first discovered this phenomeon last month when I was holiday-shopping. Now that the New Year is in full swing, and it’s time to lose the extra holiday-weight, I find myself heading to JC Penney more and more. Think about: You can pick up a new gym outfit, a blender for your smoothies, AND the latest and greatest lipstick on the market all in one place.  JC Penney/JCPenney.com  pretty much has everything I need to start living a healthier and prettier lifestyle, at prices that won’t break the bank.

I’ll spare you the details of my attempt to purchase workout-wear and head straight into the makeup I’m currently crushing on.

First up was the Urban Decay Shadow Box $34.

Urban-decay-shadow-box-reviewAs you can see, the online photos, don’t do this palette any justice. The purple and blue shades are incredibly vibrant. The only reason I resisted the urge to buy it is because I just purchaed the Urban Decay Vice 4 palette last week, so I opted to exercise some restraint.

Next, I took a trip over to the skincare isle because my girls have been gushing about Peter Thomas Roth’s Skincare line.

I was particularly interested in the Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber De-tox™ Foaming Cleanser $35

You get so much of this cleanser for the $35, so I know this will last me a good long while. My skin gets really dry in the winter, so this is supposed to be great for parched skin. I haven’t used it yet, but I’ve heard nothing but great things. I’ll keep you posted.

Next, I took a trip over to the Smashbox Isle to check out the infamous Be Legendary Long Wear Lip Lacquer $24. These are full coverage and feel luxiurious going on the lip. Almost every color is sold-out on line and I can see why.

Lastly, I took a walk over to the Tarte isle and noticed that there were tons of new and fabulous products to choose from.  Tarte always has such beautiful packaging I couldn’t stop myself from buying the new  Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Clay Palette $45.

Isn’t she lovely? The colors are so amazingly pigmented and since I’m already thinking ahead for spring I can see how pretty these colors will play out on my skin tone. All in all I’m really happy with my purchases and can’t wait to see what new items pop up for Spring.

  1. Lisa…I can not wait to see what looks you create using the Tarte palette. It is currently on my lust list! Every single product I have from Peter Thomas Roth has been highly effective. I live for their AHA/BHA Acne Serum, and Retinol Serum.

Looking forward to seeing more of your JC Penny Sephora picks.

  4. Yes I’ve shopped at a Sephora inside JCPenney, and the ladies working there were so sweet. It’s an intimate experience and you get the attention you deserve 🙂 Unfortunately I don’t have a Penny’s in area.

  6. That Tarte pallette! It’s so pretty I really don’t know whether to use it or display it. Obviously I now need to stop at the Sephora when I’m in JCPenney for my son’s birthday photos.
