How to Wear a Tulle Skirt: Spring Outfit of the Day
Figuring out how to wear a tulle skirt can be a little bit tricky, especially when you might be wearing a tulle skirt not custom fit to your body.
If you follow me on Pinterest, you know that I’ve been pretty OBSESSED with Tulle skirts and every single blogger who has dared to display how she dons a tutu. But finding a decent quality tulle skirt, WITH lining, for anything less than $50 is pretty much impossible. On Etsy they average for about $60 and up (and if you’re anything like me, one tulle skirt would never do, so ordering more than one would get costly.)
I could totally make one myself, as there are great no-sew DIY tutorials all over Youtube and the blogs, BUT ain’t nobody got time for that. As a full-time working mom, who ALSO manages this blog and my youtube channel, I don’t have any extra time in my schedule for creative projects.
So after an EXTENSIVE online search, I found some Chinese and Korean based sellers on Ebay who are selling Tulle skirts for around $10 each shipped! Keep in mind it takes 3 weeks to arrive, so I ordered these weeks and weeks ago. I snagged one in light green, beige, and black (pictured above.) I can’t complain a WHOLE lot about how these look, considering the price. But if I had it my way, these would have about 4 more layers of tulle for added poofiness, AND a fitted waistband. As you’ll see in the colored versions I’ll be showcasing in future posts, the elastic waist makes it harder to style these skirts because without a thoroughly synched in waist, even the thinnest of girls might look short and stubby. Not cute. All in all I’m pretty happy with this skirt. I may take it into to my seamstress to have her add a few more layers, then it’ll be PERFECT!
How cute are these shoes????
And yeah, this purse? I give it kisses and tuck it into its dustbag every night.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I have three more Spring Friendly tulle skirt looks coming your way over the next two weeks. I also have a few more tulle skirt looks in mind for some late Spring , so be sure to leave your tulle skirt styling tips below.
